The trail starts on the Ban Jelačić Square in the village centre and is very suitable for trail, Nordic walking or a simple walk. At the very beginning, the trail passes by the Parish Church of Sveti Juraj (Saint George), and immediately afterwards it comes to Bunar (well - a place where cattle (oxen) were watered in the recent past. Here, for a while, the population of Povljana was also supplied with water - water was carried in wooden cables on their heads, until in the 1960s, when water supply system was built.

The asphalt road takes us to the Obatnica zone, named after the Abatizza location. In ancient time, just off the coast, there were a saltpan and an antique villa and in medivial period there was a monastery of nuns.

After a short ascent we pass an observation deck at the top, providing us a beautiful view of the surrounding islands: Vir, Olib and Maun. The trail continues along a macadam road towards the water pool, after which we soon turn left onto a narrow path that turns north and Velebit. Povljana Polje (Field) (lays in front of us and we descend towards the bay and the sandy beach in Stara Povljana.

Soon after arriving in Polje, we come to a path about 100 meters long that leads to the church of St. Martin from the 14th century, and shortly afterwards, riding along a macadaml road, we come to the Chapel of the Heart of Jesus, where a liturgy is held every year on the feast day of the Heart of Jesus. Following this route we will reach the area of Stara Povljana where in the medieval perios there was a settlement related to Nin, then a significant urban centre.

One of the last views that will be seen on the trail is a landscape looking like the moon, which is located on a macadam road that connects Povljana and the nearby fishing village of Smokvica and extends as far as the eye can see.
