Health care

On the island of Pag there are ambulances in Novalja and Pag, as well as pharmacies. In larger places there are 24-hour on-duty pharmacies.

All foreign residents staying in Croatia are entitled to EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE. Foreign guests do not pay for medical services if there is a signed convention on health care between Croatia and the guest's home country.

Croatia is one of the countries without risk when it comes to severe infectious diseases, so guests who come to Croatia and are regularly vaccinated in their countries do not have to be vaccinated before arrival.

How to reach Pag?

By car

You can reach the island of Pag via the Pag bridge, which connects the island of Pag with the mainland from the south, from direction of Dalmatia (Zadar, Šibenik, Split). From the highway Zagreb-Ploče, exit Posedarje, to the bridge (island of Pag) there is around 20 km.

By plane

If you come to the island of Pag by air, Zadar airport is about 60 km away from the island, and is well connected with the whole Europe and beyond, so with the help of RyanAir you can travel cheaply to Brussels (Charleroi), Dublin, Dusseldorf (Weeze) , Frankfurt (Hahn), London (Stansted), Oslo (Rygge), Stockholm (Skavsta).

Lufthansa and Germanwings provide good connections with the German cities of Cologne, Stuttgart (STR), Bonn (CGN), Munich, Berlin (SXF).

Croatia Airlines will help you easily reach the Croatian cities of Zagreb and Pula.

Split airport is connected to 53 cities with 29 airlines operating from Split. Every week, at least 56 domestic flights and 84 international flights depart from Split Airport.

Rijeka airport is located on the island of Krk. If you are heading from island of Krk to island of Pag by rent-a-car via the ferry port of Prizna (from where the ferry to the island of Pag sails), you will need about an hour and a half drive. If you use public transport, you have to go to Rijeka and board a boat or bus to Novalja.

If you are traveling from some other world destinations, Zagreb airport is connected to all transit airports in Europe. Every week at least 133 domestic flights and 707 international flights depart from Pleso Airport.

By boat

The island of Pag is connected to the mainland by the ferry line Prizna-Žigljen (sailing takes 15 minutes). The catamaran line enables the connection between Novalja with the neighboring island of Rab and the city of Rijeka. The catamaran carries only passengers, and the voyage takes 2 hours and 30 minutes. The island of Pag is also connected to the island of Rab by a ferry line from the town of Lun, located in the very northwest of the island of Pag, and the town of Rab. The ship carries only passengers, and the voyage takes about 30 minutes.
